Checking and Savings Accounts –
Your credit union provides numerous benefits, but don't forget about the accountseveryone from toddlers to senior citizens can use. Competitive interest ratesand free checking accounts make our credit union a welcome change from other institutions.
Share Certificates –
Another investing option we offer members includes share certificates (like a Certificate of Deposit). Term length options include 6 month, 1 year, 18 months, 2 years and 3 years. Our Annual Percentage Yield (APY) is very competitive and we encourage you to invest in your credit union.
IRA's –
With the introduction of two new IRA's in January 1998 investors' options have grown. Your credit union has the information that you need to help determine what type of IRA or combination of IRA's is best suited for you. Call or stop by today and get informed.
Debit cards –
Would you like to write fewer checks and carry less cash and still have the financial freedom you enjoy now? Our Visa Debit Card can accomplish this and more. The card can be used anywhere Visa is accepted, at any of our Credit Union owned* ATM machines (no charge for members) or at the thousands of automated teller machines (ATM) worldwide. Members can fill out a simple application and soon they will be carrying the card that works like a credit card but acts like a check!
*Universal Federal Credit Union currently owns four ATM machines. They can be found at Huntington High School, Cabell Midland High School, behind our drive-thru area at our main office located at 317 31st Street in Huntington and at our Mall Branch located at 117 Mall Road in Barboursville, WV.

Money Orders, Traveler's Cheques and Savings Bonds –
As a courtesy to our members and their hectic schedules, low-cost money orders and no-cost American Express Travelers Cheques can be purchased at the credit union. This can help make the trip to the credit union as all-inclusive as possible. Savings bonds can also be purchased at the credit union individually or on a monthly schedule. Please contact our member service department to learn more about these services.
Summer Pay and Christmas Club Accounts –
These accounts are two of our more popular services offered to members. The summer pay account gives members the ability to hold back a portion of their 10-month check and divide those savings over the summer months as a source of income. Our Christmas club account works similarly, monthly contributions add up and a check is mailed to the member in November to help pay for Holiday expenses.
